Logic Helps Wu-Tang Clan Score First Billboard Charting Song In 16 Years

Logic is fresh off the release of the fourth installment in his Young Sinatra series. The rapper’s latest project served as his second offering of the year, following Bobby Tarantino II. The rapper revealed the tracklist a few days before which included a feature from every living member of the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Wu affiliate, Jackpot Scotty Wotty. The success of the song helped the legendary crew land their first single to chart on the Billboard charts since 2002.

As Logic managed to score the number two spot to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, he also helped the Wu-Tang Clan reach another accomplishment in their illustrious career. “Wu-Tang Forever” is Wu-Tang Clan’s first charting song on a Billboard chart since their 2002 song, “Uzi (Pinky Ring)” which peaked at #16 on the Hot Rap Songs as well #93 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. “Wu-Tang Forever” debuted at #17 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and #44 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales. Unfortunately, it didn’t perform well enough to earn them an entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wu-Tang Clan only have two singles that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, both of which were from their 1993 debut, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). “C.R.E.A.M” peaked at #60 on the chart while “Method Man” made its way up to #69.
